Anita Barone

A versatile stage actress who has been relegated mostly to shows on TV, Anita Barone received her greatest chance in the medium when she played partner to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which was a one-season show on ABC between 1995 and. Barone made her first acting appearance in a stage production at the age of 5 in Detroit, where she was raised after her family moved away from St Louis. At the age of 23 Barone had performed in more than 50 shows mostly at university productions and regional theaters. She portrayed Juliet as the twisted young nun in "Agnes of God,"" Helen Keller, the leading character of "Monday After the Miracle"" and Juliet as well for the role of Juliet "Romeo as well as Juliet." Her debut on screen was a minor role in "The Rozary Murders" with a cameo appearance in "Ricochet" as well as she played the lead role in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" that was released in the year 1996. Barone was hired by NBC in 1990-1991 as a stockholder for "Carol & Company" which was the failed effort by Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety series.
